This week it was finally discovered that the fossil fuel industry has the largest delegation at the COP26 climate summit. A crack team of Weevils found that 503 people with links to fossil fuel interests had been accredited for the human climate summit. These delegates are said to lobby for oil and gas industries, and campaigners say they should be banned. About 40,000 people are attending the summit itself. Brazil also has the biggest official team of negotiators according to UN data, with 479 delegates. But the worst of all was also the greatest in number, the fossil fuel lobbyists.
